Studio TK Presents Trine, A Collection of Multi-Sized Stools

Studio TK introduces Trine, a collection of three multi-sized stools, to its seating portfolio. Studio TK and EStudi Manel Molina present a design that brings flair to residential, hospitality, and workplace applications. The Spanish design studio combined learned experiences with artisanal backgrounds to create an alluring stool that is as simple as it is complex.

Inspired by the iconic and natural three-legged wooden milking stools used on farms in Spain, Trine incorporates multiple materials—including fabric, metal, and wood—to modernize a classic. Trine brings an archetypal form into a contemporary light. It is a breathtaking, cohesive design where a unique metal base and footrest seamlessly intertwine with metal or natural wooden legs.

“Our collaboration with EStudi Manel Molina expands the concept of today’s stools to provide users a useful yet seductive seating option,” says Charlie Bell, Studio TK President. “The classic form with a modernistic style draws people in; Trine invites their eyes to drift from the upholstered seat through that metallic cradle, down the beautiful three legs, and rest on the unique footrest.”

The Trine Stool is available in three sizes: a dining height, a bar height, and a counter height. Trine aligns with the brand’s commitment to designing versatile pieces for multiple residential and commercial applications. In addition, the lightweight frame allows for ease of movement from one place to another. So whether you’re at a hotel bar, in your dining room, or in the office, Trine’s clean lines and comfortably sculpted seat make the multifunctional stool suitable for quick meetings, long lunches, or extended group work alike.

“As EStudi Manel Molina’s first project for Studio TK, it was important for us to work together from the initial sketch to the final product. The positive momentum was carried throughout the design process,” says Manel Molina, EStudi Manel Molina Founder. “When there are multiple collaborators, success happens through open communication. We expanded upon a basic idea and developed its purpose. Once we explored more with Studio TK, our team was able to weave the brand’s DNA into the original product design.”

Available in five wood finishes and 16 powder coating options, and several pre-approved textiles from Luum, Kvadrat, and Maharam, Trine embellishes the room and encourages onlookers to take a seat.
