Building upon the success of the original metal frame guest and lounge seating collection, the addition of a wood frame brings a new dimension of sophistication and warmth to Mayland’s offering. The exposed wood frame design follows the curve of the seat and back, offering an attractive aesthetic from every angle. “The Mayland wood collection embodies a soft and inviting approach to lounge seating, directly responding to the evolving landscape of today’s hybrid work culture,” says Andrew Gower.
“Aesthetically we were interested in the interplay between the soft inner shell and outer wood framework. Particular attention was placed on the sculpting of the cushions and seam locations, emphasizing the design’s warm and welcoming appearance,” says Paul Woolf Boettiger.
